Here’s what to expect on your first visit. When you arrive, if you have not already done so via our link, you’ll spend a few minutes on one of our computers to input your information into the system and reading the consent forms that are needed before care. Next, several minutes Will be spent together with Dr. Ericksen reviewing your past medical history and your current complaints during a dedicated consultation. Following the consultation, a thorough medical evaluation will be performed. This evaluation will include range of motion, orthopedic testing, and Neurological Testing to determine what is contributing to your symptoms.

If Dr. Ericksen finds anything that is concerning, the evaluation will be ended and he will discuss with you what the next steps should be. These steps may include an x-ray evaluation, other specific testing, or call treatment with other medical professionals. Otherwise, you will begin care with your first chiropractic adjustment with Dr. Ericksen.

Some patients feel some stiffness and/or soreness following the first few days of treatment. This is a normal experience and should be one of your expectations after your first visit. The physical exam may also temporarily worsen symptoms, but it is a necessary part of your chiropractic care. Dr. Ericksen will make every reasonable effort during the examination to screen for conditions that might put you at risk, so if you know of any conditions that would not otherwise come to his attention, please advise him prior to care.
